Meet Kate COnte, psyd
Therapy that actually works.
I specialize in conquering anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
You’re in the right place.
I’m here to help you achieve your goals.
I’m a mom of three, wife, and clinical psychologist who is on a mission to empower individuals to find relief. Whether you are struggling with the relentlessness of mood challenges or sleep difficulties, together we can get you living toward your goals.
My practice consists of intelligent, insightful individuals who have something in their life that needs to change. You’re in the right place if you’re ready to feel heard, understood, and accepted on the path toward creating the life you want. The most important part of any therapy is the connection you build with your therapist. I pride myself on being authentic, transparent, and real so that you feel comfortable showing the not-so-shiny parts of yourself.
My style
Approaches that are proven to give long-lasting results.
I utilize therapy techniques and modalities that have been proven to work. While research can teach us which therapy techniques have worked best for others, it takes a well-seasoned therapist to flexibly customize a therapeutic approach that is the right fit for you.
I have an integrative style that incorporates:
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Strengths-based and client-centered work
Most importantly, I work to develop a relationship where we can uncover what is getting in your way.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." –Carl Rogers
My guiding principles
Growth
A lifelong learner, I seek out training on new methods, examine recent research, and deepen my own self-awareness to enhance the work that I do.
Positivity
You are worthy, just as you are. We will shine light on your unique strengths, attributes, and qualities and look beyond just your challenges.
Transparency
I bring openness and honesty to my client relationships, even when it’s uncomfortable. Change often happens in the uncomfortable spaces.
Safety
I strive to create spaces where you can bring your most vulnerable and authentic self, when you are ready.
